This summer, on the initiative of the Berlin gallery Mutter Fourage, an individual artistic residency of Serhiy Savchenko took place. The event was connected with the preparations for a large international exhibition, which will be held in September 2025 and will be dedicated to the city of Wannsee, Potsdam, and the historical surroundings of this part of Berlin.
During the residency, the artist created a number of new works, established valuable professional contacts, and took part in important artistic events not only in Berlin but also in Düsseldorf and Bremen. The main place of activity was Wannsee – one of the key historical and cultural areas of Berlin, known for its unique nature and historic architecture.
As part of the program, 15 paintings, 2 wooden sculptures, and a documentary film were created, with music composed and performed by the artist himself. All works will be presented on September 14, 2025, at the exhibition in the Mutter Fourage Gallery.
Another important outcome was the establishment of new connections with the artistic community, including Alchorn Blochause, Galeria Veles, and Galeria Serpen, which represents a significant step towards the development of international relations.
