All wars are marked by the colors of bellicose flags, but in reality, they are all, always, the same black and white.
The colorful diversity of state and military symbols, the captivating beauty of various types of military uniforms, the exquisite colors, gold, silver, and diamonds of numerous military decorations.
Swamps, dirt, the darkness of blood, scorched earth and plants, the emptiness of blind windows in destroyed architecture, the whiteness of unburied human bones.
Between symbols and reality, between dreams and the harshness of existence, between the aesthetics of struggle and the grotesque horror of warfare. The colorful wars – a paradoxical path of modern civilization.

Plastic Pressing in Classic Conditions” (“P.P.W.K.”)
In the old days, kings led their armies into battle. Often, the outcome of the war was determined by a direct duel of chiefs on the battlefield. Modern leaders, however, keep a safe distance from the places where the conflicts they cause take place.

A little boy laid a piece of paper in front of him, picked up crayons, and began to draw a battle. As he drew, he imitated the sounds of gunshots, the whistle of bullets, the hum of airplane and tank engines, the cries of cavalrymen, and the groans of the wounded. He was so excited he drooled, hooting and hissing. When he got bored, he put the paper aside and forgot about what had been bothering him a moment ago.
Sixty years later, the same boy, now in an elegant uniform decorated with colorful patches, watches the briskly moving figures of soldiers and vehicles on a large plasma screen. When they make contact with the enemy, colorful, effective flashes appear. The show attracts attention and resembles a children’s game from years ago.
Meanwhile, somewhere far away, hundreds of kilometers from the safe and comfortable bunker, a real war is going on. Black and white. Nobody thinks about colors here….
