The animated film was created based on a story written by Mateusz Sora, a historian and social activist. The story recounts historical events of the 18th century in Gdańsk and the life and achievements of the eminent scientist, astronomer, and resident of Gdańsk, Jan Heweliusz. The film features the voice of the author himself, adding authenticity and depth to the narrative.

“Good day, good day, good day!…” This is how another story begins in Serhiy Savchenko’s second animated film “From the History of Gdańsk. Selected Stories.” This time, we have the pleasure of presenting the story titled “Our Man of Enlightenment.” The author of the text and narration in the film is Arkadiusz Onasch, a Gdańsk resident, renowned restaurateur, and a wonderful person, host of the exquisite Gdańsk restaurant Winne Grono and the Gdańsk Historical Flavors Factory. We invite you to watch this latest creation, made possible with the support of the City of Gdańsk as part of the 2nd edition of the Gdańsk Cultural Scholarship.
