MOVEMENT
Animated film by Serhiy Savchenko

MOVEMENT is a short animated film that unfolds as a visual diary of observation. Built from the artist’s drawings and reflections, the work captures fleeting moments of life — small signs of motion that reveal the presence of something living. One of the central messages of the film is simple yet profound: whatever lives, moves.
In this sense, the film becomes a kind of animated documentation of what the artist has witnessed. Frame by frame, drawing by drawing, Serhiy Savchenko records fragments of reality much like a tireless chronicler. For the artist, to understand a phenomenon often means to draw it — to trace its form, its gesture, its movement.
The animation therefore functions both as observation and reflection: a notebook in motion, where each line attempts to grasp the living pulse of the world. Through this process, the act of drawing becomes inseparable from the act of living itself.
Ultimately, MOVEMENT speaks about life as both cause and purpose — a continuous flow in which observation, drawing, and existence merge into one process.
