IRREVERSIBLE PERSPECTIVE

“Imaginary lines of perspective drift away, like a fish that can move only forward. Time accelerates, creating friction that strikes a radiance similar to the one I saw at the very beginning, when I came into the world…”
— Serhiy Savchenko
In his works, Serhiy Savchenko turns to the theme of the irreversibility of time—movement without return—and to the light born within this continuous flow. Here paint functions like traces of events: rough brushstrokes, images of vanishing lines, layered textures, structural cracks, and subtle color transitions create the sensation that space is dissolving in the dynamics of its own becoming. Clear boundaries disappear—replaced by a state that endures and changes.
This exhibition is an invitation to an inner conversation about motion and transformation: how the new emerges in the course of events, and what remains of what has been lived. What matters here is not only looking, but also feeling—finding one’s own answers through an encounter with the works.
The exhibition presents the artist’s newest works from 2025, alongside pieces from previous years.
A distinctive feature of the project is an inclusive opportunity for tactile engagement with the paintings. The artist consciously allows visitors to touch the canvases in order to remove the barrier between the artwork and the viewer.
